Any parents out there willing to share advice on how to keep your newborn from spitting up half a meal? Logan’s spitting up about 25% – 50% of what he eats, almost every time that he eats. While this is unpleasant (for both him & us), that’s not a huge concern. The bigger problem is […]

Thought to Ponder
Why is it that Logan can go for 4+ hours without bodily functions, but as soon as we put a new diaper on him, he instinctively has to go? And is this instinct in any way related to his “I don’t have to spit up until you take my bib off” reflex?
Doc update
We’ve been to the pediatrician to test Logan’s jaundice levels every day since we made it home from the hospital. He’s had much higher levels than the docs liked over the past few days. Because of this, we’ve had to have him wrapped up in a special light. The alternative was re-admitting him to the […]
First pediatrician visit
We had our first visit with the pediatrician today. Our doc was out of the office, but we had to meet with one of his counterparts to get Logan checked out. His birth weight was a point of contention in the hospital… the scale when he was born said 6 lbs +, but his weight […]
Listening to the baby sounds…
So far, Logan has been an excellent baby. A significant portion of this may be due to the fact that apparently babies primarily sleep on their first day into the world, but I’ll take it. He’s opening his eyes every now and then, but aside from the initial screaming when born & his first bath, […]
Sept 14
Uncle Stevie pointed out the fact that Logan will share a birthday with the Lone Ranger, which I have to admit is much better than some of the alternatives. So, just for the heck of it, here are some other cool events that happened on the day that Logan should arrive: 1984 – First MTV […]
One Artist…
Using only song names from ONE ARTIST, cleverly answer these questions. Pass it on to 15 people you like (or think will actually do this) and tag me. Try not to repeat a song title. It’s harder than you think… Laura/Brandon Your Artist: AC/DC Are you male or female: Girl’s Got Rhythm / Love Hungry […]
Injustices of pregnancy
There are lots of little injustices to pregnancy that no one ever tells you about beforehand. Like the fact that perfect strangers think touching your stomach is somehow okay. Or the fact that people ask “how are YOU?” as though there’s a greater level of significance to how you feel now that you’re growing a […]
Best typo ever
So, I’ve been absent from my blog for a while yet again. In my own defense, I couldn’t log into it because of my own technical ineptitude. Nonetheless, this was worth waiting for. Anyone who reads this blog and/or knows me at all knows my very low tolerance for grammatical errors. I’ve been floored by […]
Kids in church
So I am many days delayed on this, but I’ll still vent. You people who let your children bring their whole freaking toy box with them to church (and you know who you are), need to lay up off. Please, I beg you, consider the other people sitting around you. Case in point: a few […]
